Reception

Our Reception class offers a caring and inspiring start to school life, where children grow in confidence and develop a love of learning. We would love to welcome you. Click here to book a visit or contact us on 020 7802 1909 or by email.

If you would like to apply for a space at Pimlico Primary in September 2027, there are three ways to do this:

apply online via Westminster City Council
contact schooladmissions@westminster.gov.uk to request a paper application form and return it directly to Westminster City Council; or
contact our school office, and they will be happy to guide you through the process.

Key dates for Reception Entry (September 2027):

Applications open: 1 November 2026 (England & Wales)
Application deadline: 15 January 2027 (national statutory deadline)
National Offer Day: 16 April 2027

We recommend submitting your application a few days before the deadline. For late applications, please contact the school for support and advice.

Families living both within and outside Westminster are welcome to apply. We would love to meet you at one of our Reception Open Mornings. Please book your place here.

In-Year Admissions

Each year, we welcome a number of families who join us partway through their child’s education. We work hard to support them to settle in and make friends as quickly as possible, allowing them to thrive academically and socially while making the most of our extra-curricular opportunities.

To apply, please complete and return an in-year application form to the school office. Paper copies are available from the office. Families from other London boroughs are also welcome.

Appeals

If you have not been offered a place following an in-year application, the law entitles you to appeal to an Independent Appeal Panel. For more information or to submit an appeal for in-year admissions, click here.
